Contortion | Sofa

The Contortion is a sofa and a shelf connected with a classic metal tube of the 1930's.

The tube runs throughout the furniture piece giving it a rigged yet flexible structure. This gives one the possibility to have the sofa as a cantilever or as fixed unit. Attached at only the necessary key points the seating and shelf are mounted onto the frame, suspended from the floor. Its compact design and its minimalist appearance saves space and gives it a lightness and transparency.
